Six Nations Spread Betting Preview

All eyes will be on HQ for Sunday's key match between the out-of-form reigning World Champions and the current Six Nations champions. If you're tempted to have a punt on the game, there's never been a better time to open an account with spread betting firm SportingIndex. With a wide range of markets on each Six Nations fixture and a free bet for new clients, they offer an interesting addition to your usual fixed odds betting. Here’s what their Senior Rugby Market Maker had to say ahead of the game:

England v France

"After last weekend's defeat, England must win this one to stand any chance of winning the tournament. That's fairly obvious, so it's just as well that they have home advantage and key players Corry and Moody returning from injury. The inclusion of Barkley at centre should also be a big boost, as he gives the team an added dimension with his kicking ability. The man to watch for the home side will be Jason Robinson. He played very well in Cardiff and I expect some sharp punters will back him to score against the French. Although England weren't far off Wales last week, I think we'll see a much improved performance this time around. "

"France have the better side on paper, but weren't very impressive against Scotland. Like England, they have made a few changes that should make them a tough side to beat. In particular, the return of Betsen should be a key factor for the visitors; he just covers so much ground. We've priced this one up in favour of England to win by between 2 and 5 points, it's going to be tight but with home advantage they should just edge it."

"Supremacy" is a market predicting a team's dominance over their opposition. SportingIndex predicts the margin (in points) by which a given team will beat their opponents, and you decide whether their prediction is either too high or too low.

For the England v France game, SportingIndex is predicting a victory for England by a margin of 2 to 5 points, so you have a choice to make:

  1. Will England win by MORE than 5 points?
    or
  2. Will England win by LESS than 2 points, or tie, or France will win?
How much you win (or lose) depends on how right (or wrong) you are.

Six Nations Promotion

SportingIndex is running a Player Try Minutes promotion on every Six Nations match this year:

Buy (bet "high" on) a player's try minutes in any of this year's Six Nations matches and if he is named RBS man of the match, they will add 10 points on to his final result, even if he doesn't score a try.

To qualify all bets must be placed before kick off.

Free Rugby Bet

SportingIndex is also offering all new clients a free 10 gbp Total Points Rugby bet to help you get started. Open an account and place 10 bets to qualify, risking at least 20 gbp on each qualifying bet.

Alternatively, you can claim 100 gbp cash straight into your account (after placing 10 bets, risking 20 gbp each as above).

Credit and suitability checks, terms and conditions apply. See SportingIndex for details. Sports spread betting is high risk and is not suitable for everyone. You can lose more than your original stake. SportingIndex is authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
