About Triple Crown Bets
URL : Triple Crown Bets
Short Description : As you may have guessed, Triple Crown Bets is a horse racing book that doubles as a sportsbook. With action available on over 80 tracks in North America, they are one of the biggest racebooks on the web. They also sport a sportsbook site, with betting on all major sports, including round robins, if bets and action reverses. The sportsbook, although not a high quality book, is servicable enough and provides easy transfer for bettors who want to roll their horse racing winnings to the other major sports.

Triple Crown Bets Professional Review

By Kris Takahashi

The Look

The site itself is designed nicely, but navigation is a terrible. Each page is filled with a hundred different boxes and buttons which serve only to confuse the bettor. After trying endlessly to try and figure how to make a simple straight bet, I decided it might be better to slam my head onto the concrete and imagine I did the whole thing. That is of course, until I realized the NBA lines weren't even up yet, despite most other books having them the prior night. I was further perturbed at being assigned another username, which now gives me five thousand I have to remember.

Deposits/Withdrawals

Deposits can be made with NETeller, Money Gram, Western Union, Firepay, Prepaid ATM, 900Pay, credit card, check, echeck or wire. Withdrawals are also available the same way, but most are charged transaction fees, with the exception of one withdrawal every thirty days which is ridiculous. The book should always eat the fee.

Wagering

See above. Not very fast in terms of posting lines. They offer round robin, if bets and action reverses in addition to props and parlays. Sometimes I think the sportsbook side of Triple Crown Bets isn't even trying.

Bonuses and Extras

The only bonus I can think of is that they have a great racebook. And if you're wondering about cash bonuses, you receive 10% provided you deposited over $200, 10% reloads on the same amount and a $50 help bonus if they implement a suggestion you had. I suggested they put naked models on their site and received neither reply nor compensation for my idea.

Customer Service

Customer service is available through the phone or from live help. It recently occurred to me, however, that in order to really test the depths of their service, I would have to have some kind of problem. So I called and told them I was unsatisfied with their withdrawal speed. Unfortunately, the service rep noticed that I made my account five minutes ago and the balance was zero. I'd say that's perceptive customer service.

Player Reviews/Forums

No comments were found on Triple Crown Bets. As always, feel free to send input. It will be promptly deleted. No, really, I'm going to delete them.

Verdict

Triple Crown Bets is not the best option for sports other than horse racing. It does, however, provide an easy transfer for horse racing bettors to wager money they earned at the track to the major sports. And that's why this site is getting the J-Lo marriage of convenience rank. J-Lo's marriages to Chris Judd and Marc Anthony were convenient ways to forget Diddy and Affleck and really had no substance. Which is what Triple Crown Bets's sportsbook is, a book of convenience. No one is fooling themselves into trying to make it more than it is, but rather it plays its role as a secondary option. Just like J-Lo's marriages.
