Wager.dm Professional Review

By Michael Williams

Sportsbook First Impression

Wager.dm offers a sportsbook, online casino, a race book and a poker room. The more I browsed around Wager.dm's sportsbook site, the more confused I became. One page says that the minimum deposit is $300, but then you learn on another page that the $300 minimum only applies to the phone sportsbook. The online sportsbook has a deposit minimum of $100.

The Wager.dm site says that "they offer the latest in hi-tech" gambling and that they were the first worldwide, fully computerized sportsbook. I tried to click on their betting software demo link several times on different days and it was a dead link. There was also a bonus link of some sort that opened up into a pop-up window. The pop-up window then played some music while flashing some money graphics ending in a "click here" statement. I tried it two different times and it was a dead link. I thought "Enough with this, I'll just register."

There was an online form that I filled out and that form was sent via email to the customer service email and carbon copied to my email address. I was told on the registration page that I would be able to choose a username and password. In the meantime, I saw that guests and members logged in by clicking the same button. I logged in and was able to "play for fun." I gotta tell ya, if Wager.dm is hi-tech, we've gone back to the stone age. Wager.dm information contradicts itself in many areas, not to mention, aside from the header graphics it generally looks unprofessional.

Online Sportsbook Contests

With everything else wrong with Wager.dm, Wager.dm has some really cool contests that I have longed to see at all sportsbooks. They have The Last Man Standing and the Progressive Perfecta Pool. Both of these contests involve handicapping football. The Last Man Standing is an NCAA contest and the Progressive Perfecta Pool is an NFL contest.

Last Man Standing involves a $100 entry fee and you pick an "absolute winner" on the NCAA card each week. What I think this means is that you choose an outright winner from the NCAA card each week. The last handicapper remaining wins. Prizes are paid out to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

The Progressive Perfecta Pool is a $5.00 entry fee. If you pick a perfect NFL card, you win the progressive pot of the pool. These types of contests are office pools at their best. Lots of Fun!

Sportsbook Customer Service

I decided to get to the bottom of the Wager.dm website mess and called customer service. I asked what the bonus terms were on the deposit bonus and the representative said she though she knew what I was talking about, she wasn't sure. She said, "The person who could answer that was not here." Only one person knows the answer to that question? Oh, my!

I then told her that I registered with the online sportsbook about an hour ago and she took my name and said she would check for me. It is now 24 hours later and not an email, phone call...nothing.

Online Sportbook Research

To be honest, considering the quality of Wager.dm's website and quality of customer service, or shall I say lack of, I was surprised to find no complaints about Wager.dm. None. As a matter of fact they received a B- with respect to financial security. This puts them in the Excellent category - the top 10% of over 400 sportsbooks reviewed. I don't know much about the company, but my impression is that they were a phone-in offshore sportsbook prior to having an online sportsbook.

Sportbook Nitty-Gritty

I have to say, with the Wager.dm online sportsbook website being so unprofessional with the dead links, contradictory information and absolutely horrendous customer service, I cannot recommend the online wagering division of this site to anyone. I just can't entrust my money to a company that can't invest the time and effort in a professional website and some decent customer service. The phone-sportsbook may be very efficient and a quality service, you will have to see for yourself; but the online sportsbook falls short of the mark. Very short.
